Covid-19 – the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on the Greenwich 0 to 4 service

We would like to thank you for your patience during the Covid-19 pandemic whilst our Health Visitors continue to follow NHS guidance and help to tackle the spread of this coronavirus. 

You may not see us as often as would be usual in normal circumstances, but with current guidance we are able to provide the following:

Antenatal support: If you are expecting a baby you will receive a letter inviting you to contact us to book an antenatal appointment, this is in addition to your Midwife appointments.

New birth visit: When your baby is between 10-14 days old you will receive a telephone call from a Health Visitor to discuss coming to visit you at home for your new birth visit.

Breastfeeding support:  We are offering telephone contact for breastfeeding support when you need it, please get in touch with us (details below) and a member of staff will call you.

Postnatal check: A Health Visitor will contact you again by telephone when your baby is between 6-8 weeks old. Your child’s ASQ (Ages and Stages Questionnaire) at 1 year and 2 to 2 and a half years old will be sent to you by post. Please complete and return to us and a member of staff will contact you to discuss your child’s development.

Please let us know at the time of booking your appointment if you require an interpreter.

Due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and in the interests of your safety we are unfortunately, not able to hold our drop-in Well Baby Clinics. If you have concerns about your baby's weight, please contact your Health Visitor who may be able to offer you an appointment.
